AZUL-VALERIE THOME (the positive earth project) – Co-creator and project leader
Azul-Valerie Thome, a French-Lebanese woman, has lived on the edge of what is known all her life and has courageously and creatively stepped into new grounds. Her background is in the crafts/arts/ancient Earth Wisdom and the inner landscape and gardening of the Heart and Mind. Azul has been an seeder of change for the last 15 years and has been part of the creation of Embercombe: an amazing sustainability centre near Exeter. She has also started up the Meadow Orchard Project, Green on the Screen, river d’ART project, Give 5 a Day, ‘eARTh in the City’ and Occupy the Seed in London.Her new venture is FOOD from the SKY: A pioneering initiative ‘Growing Food, Life and Communities on the roof of a supermarket’, a world first. A brilliant and inspiring collaboration between her Social Enterprise: Positive Earth Project and Thornton’s Budgens.The main focus of FOOD from the SKY is to create a successful template for our future where People care, Earth care, and a Fair share of our resources are the foundation of how we grow our food and how we live…
