A Feast not to be missed!
2 years ago in 2010, we hosted a fabulous Feast event…this year it’s time to repeat our special occasion!
This wonderful, not to be missed Pop Up Feast and Auction evening will be held on 21 September to celebrate our garden, community and the great work we see here in Crouch End every day.
Our produce comes with an inspirational story, which we hope to share with you as we join together in support and celebration of all that we have accomplished.
The details are as follows:
What: drinks reception followed by a four course feast with matching wines prepared with food fresh from our garden and other local sources by renowned vegetarian chef Celia Brooks (www.celiabrooksbrown.com). There will also be music and some amazing prizes to be won!
When: Friday 21 September 2012 at 7pm
Where: On the roof garden of Thornton’s Budgens, 21-23 The Broadway, Crouch End, London N8 8DU (access to the roof via the staircase in the car park behind the store on Crouch Hall Road). In the case of inclement weather, we will advise you of our alternative location one week prior to the event.
Price: Tickets are between £50 and £100 (depending on how generous you feel)*. Booking is essential as spaces are limited to 40 people. Please click here to book.
*The money raised will go towards a fully sustainable growing system on the roof developed by Michael Pawlyn, architect of the Eden Project. This will enable us to increase our yield and our positive impact.
Thank you for your support!
Other happenings this week at FOOD from the SKY:
Wednesday – volunteers work day with Sarah…10am-1pm. Please bring comfortable clothes, strong shoes, and weather appropriate clothing.
Friday – harvest and work day with Jack…9am-4pm. Please bring the same as above! More hands are needed for harvest, so if you can get there early that would be great. Otherwise we welcome volunteers anytime during the day – just stay as long as you are able.
Saturday – Seed2seed course: Plan your winter growing space by Jack Astbury 10am-3pm. We still have a couple of places available, so if you’re interested in attending, see more details here and email sarah@foodfromthesky.org.uk to book.
