This week: an abundance of spring events to get involved in!
We have a very busy week at FOOD from the SKY. There is loads to get involved in, and now we’re on the cusp of spring officially beginning there couldn’t be a better time to get outside in the garden! Or in our case – the roof!
Wednesday – work day with volunteers (regular or first-timers – everyone is welcome) 10am-1pm
Our theme for the day will be Biodiversity. Biodiversity means the ‘variety of life on earth’ and is a very good measure for the health of the worlds ecosystems. We’ll do a brief presentation on Biodiversity with the aim to discuss how we can bring more diversity to our roof garden.
Please arrive at 10am for briefing. Remember to bring warm clothing, strong shoes and gloves
Friday – THE BIG DIG
We’re excited to be part of the Capital Growth Big Dig event – a call to mobilise volunteer involvement in community gardens across London. It would be great if you can join us.
We’ll be working on establishing a self-watering system, sowing lots of seeds and generally preparing our urban garden for spring.
Saturday – SEED2SEED Taster session
Seed2seed is our foundation food growing course starting in April and running through November
This Saturday is our FREE taster session – a mini journey through the whole course, a chance to ask questions and find out if the course is right for you. We started with 25 free tickets and they sold out within a few days!
We’ve now managed to create some more space, and have decided we can accept another 10 bookings! Get in quick, these places will disappear in a blink of the eye! Book at Eventbrite
Really looking forward to seeing you this week!
